OK. So.. It's been a year. So as promised, this is what I got:

I've installed and wired both the gauge pack in and the control button:

("Don't ever push the little red button.")

I've also finished (save for one lug) wiring up the motor, all 3 phase wires are on, as well as the 6 pulse wires.

I'll try and get the lug on today, I actually had it on before, but had to switch it to wire up the controller since the motor would be easier to get to.

Speaking of the controller, it's now wired up underneath the driver seat. The throttle is connected, the gauge is connected, the control wires are done. All connections are soldered and wrapped and tucked away. The only thing still needing wired at this point (other than the main battery pack) is the contactor. Which I was told I could omit, but I don't see why I should really.

So right now I need:

A main switch to turn it on and off
And to wire up the batteries.

And to get rid of this mess sitting behind the driver seat:

Shouldn't be too much longer before I can get the motor spinning!
