You can't get taller tires than 80 series, without getting wider. The tallest tire for 13 inch rims would be 185/80R13 tires.

165/80R15 fit on my honda crx hf. Don't know if you can get 15 inch rims for a Geo.

Weak braking becomes a problem with big diameter tires.
