Geo Metro taller tires

I did some searching on the site before I posted but just not finding much help.

I have 155/80/13 and would like try taller tires for better MPG. If anyone has any insite on this I would like to know the next size up maybe the brand or even a link would cool. I would like to not get any wider on the tire due to rolling resistance. Thanks guys i know you have a handle on this.

You can't get taller tires than 80 series, without getting wider. The tallest tire for 13 inch rims would be 185/80R13 tires.

165/80R15 fit on my honda crx hf. Don't know if you can get 15 inch rims for a Geo.

Weak braking becomes a problem with big diameter tires.

SentraSE-R and arcosine, thanks for the help I checked those links out a few days ago but did not find much on the 13" rim that i was looking for I might scrap that Idea and focus somewhere else.

Good luck finding them. I recently looked for 13" tires and all I could find were either 155/80/13 or 175/70/13. I finally found a couple of 175/80/13 in a junk yard.

wheel fastener torque is 45 ftlbs , less than half of most Domestic cars .

15" acura alloy on rear , 14" honda accord steel on front
snow tires all all around

with plastic wheel protectors trimmed for better aero ... no difference in FE

the correct size is 114.3 x 4

search in craigslist , do not pay more than $100 for a set of 4
UN bent , inspect them closely prior to purchase and fit one on the front of your car , lugnuts semi tight to verify they fit and do not rub on the brake calipers when spun .
use only stick on wheel weights on alloy wheels .
