As I am part owner in a car rental company I say don't do any of these things. Well ok, do them to the big chain rental place cars all you want, but honestly we have enough trouble keeping our stuff safe and reliable without someone breaking the wiper arm transam etc. You'd really be amazed what people manage to do to cars under the guise of "normal use". Plus I already max out the sidewall pressure on everything we rent out just out of habit!
