I know this is an old post but I could see dry ice used in performance engines for 1/4 mile drags. For a car with a turbo, you could pack the dry ice around the inter-cooler to help condense the air more (don't put the ice inside the intake). The only thing I'm not sure of is how much it would help. I do know that the performance gain would be more than the added weight if it is done right. You might also need to instal some sort of a drain for condensation build up inside the inter-cooler.
