timing

after i put in a new dizzy i set time by ear,, no plink .. did not run very good at low RPM's ,, when i checked it with a light it was at 60 BTDC can you imagine , engine running at 60 BTDC and no ping/plink ..there is an additive jar attached to the intake manifold that i put different *stuff* [var. mixtures of fluids] to which i attribute the no-ping ..

set for 20 BTDC and runs so very much better ,getting quite good FE next time i fuel i get a reading.

here is high tech tools these parts

tried var. methods of setting the mixture ,, engine speed/ vacuum gage ..now trying to set mixture using the EGT[exhaust Gas temp] set for LOP[lean of peak] a AFR would be nice but pricey ,,
