If you'll use Search EcoModder above,for 'Flow-Images',in Photo-Gallery 3 at the bottom right is an image of the Jetta in the VW wind tunnel.The image is small (sorry),but if you look,you'll see that the air is basically passing over the wipers,not really touching them.
