Did you catch the part about "The combination of 40 PSI in the tires and the pizza pans produced no significant (or even noticeable) improvement in fuel economy"?

I could handle chicks not diggin' 'em IF they gave me an extra 1/2 MPG. But they didn't even make a noticeable difference in my FE.

The 20 minute chore of cleaning the dirt out from between my pizza pans and my wheels every time I checked my tire pressure (to maintain a mod that made no noticeable difference in fuel economy wasn't worth my time. That was more of a reason for removing the pizza pans than "chicks not diggin' 'em".
