"as long as you dont do 3" piping on anything under 600hp you'll be fine."
this IS absolutely a very stupid thing to say.
It means that 2.75 is ok in ANYTHING under 600hp.
So....anything???????
like the little 4 banger the op has?????
No.
that is a stupid statement.
But then........you go on to say that "headers ALL THE WAY back" (now pay atterntion, I've blodded the key words) is the same as "Headers back". That is your second stupid statement.
Then you claim that what he said was " aftermarket header, aftermarket pipe, aftermarket muffler".
no. what he said was"HEADERS ALL THE WAY BACK TO A GAINT CATBACK"
pretty simple words. only 2 are multisyllable.
And your the only person on the face of the planet who thinks that ANYTHING about this entire aftermarket exhaust is "catback"
And now, the op admits that his description was incorrect.
And that's really ok.
And so is my calling attention to it.
But stupid is trying to lie about it.
And having owned:
1. A 66 Mustang w/ 200ci w/ Offenhauser 3 carb manifold (2 170s and 1 200 carbs), clifford headers, w/2" dual inlet & 1.75" daul outlet muffler runnung to GT tips, Shelby spec'ed front suspension.
2. 73 351Clevland/w 4 bbl carb bone stock
3. 79 Mustang Indiannaplois 500 PACE Car - Recaros, TRX Michillins, 2.2Liter turbo 4 banger Bone Stock
4. 66 Mustang w/200 ci w/ 250 head w/ 2bbl adaptor w/ clifford headers 4-2 -1 (2" pipe) to single inlet dual outlet muffler w/ gt tips
5. 2004 Mach 1 - bone stock
I have experienced enough mustang owners to be able to make the statement I made.
But let me help you.
Ford mustangs are built and designed for the bolt on crowd. ANYTHING can be bolted on and make improvements.
for example
2003 Mustang 4.6liter 280 cubic inches, 260hp tons of bolt-ons
2002 Infiniti Q45 4.5liter, 274 cubic inches, 340hp Very few bolt-ons
I didn't even have to look at the car you owned when you made that silly first statement.
