Just to let you know it is not illegal to record cops and it is not an invasion of privacy. What they can get you on is a wiretapping/eves dropping charge BUT that is only in 12 states that require all party consent.

The 12 states are:
California
Connecticut
Florida
Illinois
Maryland
Massachusetts
Michigan
Montana
Nevada
New Hampshire
Pennsylvania
Washington
