I fixed my code 34 with electrical tape over the CEL
Try cleaning & testing your IAC valve, if it is dead or stuck closed that will keep the idle low & make driveability a problem. I unplugged mine for a while before cleaning it, and it would die on me if I took my foot off the gas with the clutch in.
