I got off to a bad start on the tank when I had to drive up a 4x4 road in my Acura, very slowly in first gear to get to the shooting range. 55 miles in the average was 30.1mpg. so I woke up early today so I could beat the morning rush hours and be able to technique the hell out of my drive in. I did beat the rush and thought I nailed my technique this morning (lots of good long EOC runs of .5-1 mile, plus the normal 8.5 to start things off), but still only managed 63.5mpg, which is pretty typical (my record is 67mpg for the run into work, without any EOC the best is 51mpg). I'm not sure where I lost the mileage, but I did bring the tank average up into the 37s. Still not likely to be a record tank, but maybe I can salvage it into the 38-39 range if I keep waking up early.
