Since you mentioned the Laboratoire, permit me to introduce you to the great Andre LeFebvre, who actually drove it in the Italian Grand Prix (sorry, Gran Premio) in 1922.
He then joined Citroen, where his passion for light weight and aerodynamics were welcome, and went on to design the DS19, the 2CV, (I think he also played a big part in the Traction-Avant)
