Not at all. I'd say it means that GM is exercising it's rarely-used business sense in sharing positive developments or experience among platforms. I.e., not reinventing the wheel, so to speak. I wish they would do more of that. The same team did the exact same thing in the late 80's developing the level IV suspension for the '90 Beretta GTZ which was atypical in it's position ahead of the curve, but sadly typical in it's incomplete support and withering on the vine.
