Maybe they could bring Carrol Shelby out of retirement to sign the dashboard or design the wheels, oh wait I think Chrysler tried that once...

Not at all. I'd say it means that GM is exercising it's rarely-used business sense in sharing positive developments or experience among platforms. I.e., not reinventing the wheel, so to speak. I wish they would do more of that. The same team did the exact same thing in the late 80's developing the level IV suspension for the '90 Beretta GTZ which was atypical in it's position ahead of the curve, but sadly typical in it's incomplete support and withering on the vine.

Dang, I was hoping Chevy would get into the rally game.

Or would that be "Un-American"? Hah

That's for sure -- but there are pockets of growing interest here, and it seems to be building momentum (I hope it keeps rolling -- I love it)!

If you get to a Regional event, you can still see some old Chevys running around. The old Geo/Chevy/Suzukis are great for Rally. We even had a Citiation as a "Zero-Car"!

Back on topic, I haven't driven a Sonic yet, but if it follows the improvements of the Cruze it might be yet another improvement.

I go to LSPR and Sno*Drift annually. It's rare to see more than one GM car racing at a single event. Kind of a shame really, because rally has got to be one of the best ways to test out and/or prove new technology.

Anyway, I saw a Sonic on the road yesterday. Didn't even know they were out yet. Who's going to be the first to put a boat tail on one?
