I agree that the test results are too small of a sample to draw a general conclusion about warm air intakes. The test itself is a rellavent sampling in that it shows that in areas with high ambient temps the under hood temps are high enough to eliminate the benefits of WAI. I have varefy that myself when I sealed off the rear of the engine bay hood [...better aero...] and took the hose off of the above exhaust hot air collector and stuffed it into the corner of the engine bay on a hot [30*C] summer day and the intake air temp on the scanguage only dropped a few [less the 5*C] degrees. I did this because I emagined that the intake air was getting to hot. Winters here get down to minus 20*C or colder so during cold weather WAI may still provide a FE benefit.
