Well, it's time for a long overdue update. Got to cover the last 4-5 weeks worth of weekend work.

Got the engine and trans bolted back together.

Then pulled the stock drivetrain. Big sucker!!!

Old motor on the right, new motor on the left... new front axle in the middle.

Swapped that rebuilt axle in while I had the motor out.

Got the new engine placed in, front is sitting on a jack so I can fab some motor mounts.

Since I need to flip the exhaust manifold to fit the turbo, it pushes the turbo up and forwards. Wasn't sure if this would interfere with the AC compressor or not. So of course it was the first thing I checked... CLOSE but fits!!!

Made my motor mounts, only have pictures of one...

Botor bolted in place...

got the radiator in...

Figured out the heater lines and radiator lines.

Thermal switch for kicking on the electric fan...

Mounted an electric fan into the factor mechanical fan shroud...

I filled the gaps around the fan with AL sheet and covered with Butyl backed waterproof foil tape, then painted black. I didn't take pictures of this exact thing, but you can see it in pictures in the next post.
