Ignorance is a state of being uninformed....

The biggest reason(s) people DON'T want to be informed on the subject is that they are either too lazy to apply what they learned, don't want to feel responsible knowing that they can (should) now change their actions, or just plain don't want to think....(The last one is my guess.)
Involuntary ignorance- what I call biological stupidity- is sad and pathetic, but there are those who try to maximize what they were given and I applaud that. What burns me up is willful ignorance (like sub-20 mpg getting long distance co-workers who disrespect resources and efficiency) and it is running rampant, and there are no signs of it slowing down.
