Keep Jethro in line, THAT'S been tried before.

Got a little work done tonight. I scored half of a Handi-foam polyester spray foam kit, and nearly giggled myself to death waiting for quitting time. This was just what I was hoping for, and I wound up getting it before the rally this weekend. If I could have planned it, this would have been my first choice for build materials. When I wind up doing another, I will DEFINITELY use it by making a frame of stiffer and tighter wire mesh than chicken wire, and shooting foam over it. MUCH easier that glassing, in my opinion. I ran out before I could fill in all the low spots, but I can fill them in with body filler as I have time.

First coat of the spray foam. I trimmed off the high spots with an air saw that had a standard hack saw blade in it.

End view.

I was having so much fun that I forgot to take many pics of the second coat and trimmings, but here is a step in the sanding/shaping phase.

You can see where I ran out of one of the two chemicals on this view. I got those areas cleaned out as best I could.

As it is now. It is quieter than last night. There seems to be less air noise as well as deadening sound from the outside. I'll get a template overlay as soon as I get a good side shot. Long day.
