It seems all the Japanese 4x4 diesel pickups are manufactured in Thailand (Nissan Navara, Mitsubishi L200, Toyota Hilux, Izuzu D-max etc).
Prices there (locally) are very good and since the country is literally crowded with such vehicles, it should be possible to get one for a song. Go there for a nice vacation, load it with spares to keep you going and then roll on to a ship heading for home...

Not bad motors, those. Mitsu's current 2.5 DiDs make about 178 bhp... give you as much top-end poke as naturally aspirated 2.5 liter gasoline motors and as much torque as 3 liter V6s. And the Triton platform is one of the few Thai-made ladder frames to actually score well on EuroNCAP tests.
