Not exactly an answer to Basjoos' question, but...

I saved well over $4000 driving my Civic since its purchase, as compared with what I would have spent driving my previous daily driver ('89 Volvo 240 wagon). I posted that in Aug. 2011, after driving the Civic nearly 3 years.
