The CRX was a challenge also.I was able to run a little taller tire but still couldn't go beyond 3rd-gear.4th and 5th are additional overdrives and she just couldn't handle the gear split without falling on her face.Which is intentional from Honda,to act as a governor.
I couldn't find smaller tires either that would have allowed me to run in 4th.
If the time ever came when you thought you might attempt it,your welcome to my firesuit ( 40-long),Nomex,Snell-approved helmet( 7-1/4"),boots( size-11) and fire extinguisher.
We'd pitch in on your fuel, fees, and membership.
I'm certain that the USFRA and SCTA folks would never be the same, and 'high-performance' aero for the street might enter the American lexicon after watching AeroCivic scream down the Salt.
It would be a great day.
Thanks for all you do Mike 'n thanks for taking the time to share your chops.
