I've been doing a longer motorway trip @ higher speed (120kph / 75mph) using premium diesel fuel, and the DPF regeneration cycle went from 200km up to 300km ! Surprise !
I've just had Hägar serviced at a local garage - a start-up business.
The bloke's charging a mere 70 euro as I've brought my own oil - which was actually more expensive than the service itself !
I'm now running Total Quartz Ineo ECS 5W30 - rated to PSA (the engine manufacturer)'s B712290 standard and an ACEA C2 oil.
I'll switch to Aral High Tronic J meeting these standards @ less than half the price.
Next step : adding an additive to the tank that helps cleaning the DPF without going through the regen process.
The upper grill block has been refitted for a week as the engine took forever to heat up.
I've closed off a bit more than last year. MPG immediately went up at any given speed.
Winter tyres have also been refitted, I'll bring them back up to 3.4 bar / 50psi later today.
