If you're asking, put on an aerocap and leave the back wide open, No problem, Okie Dokie, it'll work great.

If you're asking, make an aerocap that goes from the top of the cab down to the floor of the pickup bed where the tailgate meets it, and take off the tailgate. Well, that would be an unmitigated aero disaster. You might as well just tie a 4 foot dragchute to the rear bumper. It all has to do with the angle being to steep, and then the sides would still be there too. You would create some epic vortices by doing this, these would really add a ton of drag.

If you fill in some more info here, I could tell you more specifically what might work.
