This may be the most promising contribution yet. For a so-called toy program (by the author not me) these pix seem to correlate reasonably well (coarse grain) to more advanced and serious work by domain experts. It would be great if the templates were available to others as a starting point for further fiddling, along with the parameters used in these runs. Thanks a bunch in advance and rock on!
