It is rubbing off on my wife too. Initially when I only had the VX, it was an 'eccentricity' since she did not like driving the VX (heck, even I didn't like driving the VX due to the hills around here!). But since I've gotten the TDI which both of us enjoy driving, she has gotten a lot more into it! She can get over 40mpg without even trying, but I can get over 50 with a little effort... She does notice this and tries to do better (without making it seem like she's trying)
