I'll agree with Old Tele Man (above). It certainly is possible. Long before ever ecomodding my 1998 Civic DX Coupe (exactly like your car), I once got 44 mpg across one whole tank by driving gingerly and only 55mph across a long freeway run. BTW, check out my car's page. Since we have the same car, maybe my mods will help you pick yours. I'm doing pretty well on the gas. I will rebuild Black and Green over decades as parts die, until it becomes a different car of roughly the same shape and color.
