Just realized that I haven't shown the support work fer the hatch...
You can see how I made the top curve using a support cross beam and some blocks to lift the center beam in the middle so it could curve down to the rear support...

Now I'm thinking about making the ducktail to be hatch based so all I would have to do is slide it forward enough into the roof pocket and pull it back when I need to deploy the cab cover. It could even provide some rain protection when the cab cover is deployed, too! Not sure if I have enough room to work with on the hatch though...more thought and measurements will be needed.
