Had some time today to git around to putting the template over my current setup. Piccie is the bed unloaded of my gear/tools...
You can see that since I started this project a year ago, the curve is gitting closer to the template curve.
I revamped the access doors to the cab cover so it's closer to being flush with the aerocap side panels. Now instead of 2 points to fasten the doors down...there's only 1. Should be easier to open the door/deploy cab cover/close the door.
Open...

Man, I totally dig those side skirts. They actually look pretty sleek.

With rain fer the past 2 days...no water on the cab rear window! The aluminum ducktail is doing great keeping water off of the back glass...
I'm thinking about securing a 6" wide strip of aluminum flashing to the aerocap so the back end of the ducktail can slide under that and not have to worry about some wind coming up from behind and flipping the ducktail up over the cab.

Just realized that I haven't shown the support work fer the hatch...
You can see how I made the top curve using a support cross beam and some blocks to lift the center beam in the middle so it could curve down to the rear support...
Overall hatch view...
Now I'm thinking about making the ducktail to be hatch based so all I would have to do is slide it forward enough into the roof pocket and pull it back when I need to deploy the cab cover. It could even provide some rain protection when the cab cover is deployed, too! Not sure if I have enough room to work with on the hatch though...more thought and measurements will be needed.

The new ducktail in place with the "belt" on the aerocap...
Yes, kach22i...those are fins on top.
I went back to Coroplast as my material of choice because it's easier to slide in/out than thin aluminum flashing. I think the Coroplast will be more resistant to air pressure than the flashing would have been.
Hopefully it will last fer the trip.

This is with the bed loaded with gear and stuff...which dropped the rear about ˝".
Loaded...
Unloaded...
I have the cab pocket pulled down as much as I could so the trailing edge won't be higher than the Coroplast...and it won't flap in the wind.
The belt on the aerocap seems to be doing it's job. Time to go fer a test run...
