I have noticed that the fuel consumption at idle, when the engine is fully warmed, stays relatively the same regardless of the IAT. It hovers at 0.14-0.15 GPH (gallons per hour), at around 650 RPM.

I wonder if such observation can help us understand why MAF systems do not seem to benefit from a WAI/HAI.

I might do some tests on my side and report back if you wish (it gets pretty cold here.)
