I don't post here often but it was fun to see what I wrote last year and how I did so why not do it again...
I did better than expected even though I missed several of my auto resolutions
I did not go electric fan in the Tahoe yet I opted to only drive it when needed which is why it has been idle since October. I did manage to lighten the load and drive much better.
So in 2012 I will
* Get that electric fan setup on the Tahoe I expect to use it more and every lil bit helps. maintain 18mpg average shoot for 20mpg.
* Keep The Alero's v6 tuned and averaging 25mpg +
* Finish working on the Vette and only use it for fun
* Ride the Harley more and shoot for average of 60mpg for the whole year keeping good track of its use.
This is a tall order living in a congested area with all city driving. I do get the urge to buy something new each year this year I hope to use what I have and not create waste by adding to the demand.
I hope to be inspired by my cousin who rides his bicycle everywhere no matter what. He chooses to do this and is not required, I sold him a home 4 miles from his work and 2 miles from stores much closer than he is apartment and the ride he was used to. If he can do that, I can be better in my use of resources saving money is a bonus.
