I'd like to see how fuel for transportation fits into my overall use of energy, however obtained. And associated costs. While I distinctly enjoy finding the groove before turning the engine key and then being able to glide through the city, or out on the road, this calendar year will be with a different occupation, residence (mobile) and relation to transportation as whole. More dependent, in some respects. But with lower overall energy usage once settled into a place for a term of work. New trade-off's in other words.

As to fuel, specifically, the establishment of Team Cummins caused me to ratchet up the tension. An Ultragauge or similar is needed for me to monitor more closely what works, and what doesn't. First calendar year fill-up is approaching. I'm thinking 2012 will be, therefore, a year of data collection and some experimentation to chart future years against. A fair amount of investment in both wheels and house, as well.
