It's not outside the realm of reason, considering how many cars pass through those 32 intersections each year. You're talking about reviewing hundreds of thousands of photographs.
As for me, I always stop. First, it's the law. Second, I've found that there are far too many directions to look to account for all possibilities. As a pedestrian, I've nearly been hit dozens of times, and as a driver, I've had to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting pedestrians even after I had already come to a complete stop, checking the intersection.
