I just picked up a 1969 mercury marquis 2 door. 429 2bbl. dirt cheap.mint condition. im going to do some playing with it and see what kind of milage i can get out of the 10.5:1 compression v8 in this land barge. just for fun. but the ultimate fate of it will be dropping in the N/A 7.3 idi i have sitting on the shop floor. C6 auto behind it.
It has been a long time dream of mine to make a diesel powered collector/vintage car. Probably since i sold a fan belt to the guy with the diesel powered corvette! LOL
the intension is not some crazy HP black smoke bla bla bla diesel monster. (I have enough of those) But to build a stock looking super clean classic car that gets above 30 mpg. and to see the expression on peoples face when they look under the hood and hear it start up.
