Having a seperate setup appeals for simplicity (for my weak skills on electrickery anyway ) plus the light sets are very cheap including correctly marked ones. It looks like it could be done for <£20 all in which is more affordable. I will go with mounting them in the equivalent position you have yours



Or if they are short enough then in my vertical position - DS3 anyone I checked with a Toyota dealer as they fit foglights if people ask for them with new cars, but they toss the removed covers into the boot of the car rather than keeping them.
