Niel: Batteries do have an internal resistance, so depending on the size of the pack and how much current you are pulling from them (greatest at startup) you will need to cool the battery pack.
Even for me an all electric Leaf would do for approx 90% of my driving, if I got a utility trailer to tow behind ugly it would go up to 99% (since some of my needs will be shifted over from the daily driver). The only problem is then the occasional need to haul a large load a long distance which ugly is neither efficient to do nor is it really safe to do.
So does anyone know if there are any plans to release a PHEV midsized 4 door pickup any time soon?
