I think the Samurai 90* adapter wont work with the G10 engine. The camshaft on the G10 doesn't have the gear for the 90* to work. It's been a while, but I looked into this idea before.
For my G10 project, I mounted the distributor on the front of the engine and used a miniature cog belt to drive it. The belt system has over 8000 miles on it and is still working perfectly.
