I have been hashing this injector business over all night.
There are two exhaust manifolds on the 300-6, one for 1-3 and another for 4-6.
If I were to disable half the cylinders, it would be 1-3 or 4-6 as dictated by the firing order. If I turn off injectors and let the engine run fresh air through the exhaust, the O2 sensor will richen up the mix in the other 3 cylinders and any benefits will be negated.

I was thinking I could make the exhaust dual until after the O2 sensor and cat. This would let the fresh air bypass the O2 sensor and the mix would stay the same without interfering with the cat.

I could install another cat (which I have) on the second line that would light when the cylinders are turned back on. I believe this mod would essentially turn the 6 into two 3's which could be run independently.

I am assuming the O2 sensor will still keep all 6 cylinders in spec. When all cylinders are lit, the output from the 3 switchable cylinders will be the same as the 3 dedicated cylinders and the O2 sensor will not know if it is seeing 3 or 6.

If you have any ideas, please let them fly. I want to find any holes in this theory.
