Well, it's been 2 years and about 8 months (966 days total),
and I have already driven 6,252 miles! Must have burned about 270 gallons of gas.?.
So far, the Escape is running okay. 24 mpg around town when there's no traffic
otherwise it's about 20-22 in stop and go..
My short highway trips down to Homedepot are always impressive. 25-35 MPG, without even trying.
Staying under the speed limit on the flat, nets up to 40 MPG..
I've heard of leaking seals on short shafts and many transmission problems when
this model was pulled behind an RV.. (I can't afford an RV)..
But I've not had any problems at all..
I'll report back in a few years, when I get some miles on..
