When your talking putting a foreign motor that never came into a car why not do it right with a proper xmsn?

Having had a700r4 swap to manual done myself I really can't say I agree with either of your statements.

The cost of the NV3500 5 sp manual is the same or lower than a 700r4.

It bolts up the same as a 700r4 and is the same size with the same mounting as a 700r4.

The only issue is cutting a whole in the floor and figuring out how to bolt up a pedal.

Also the NV3500 on a 6.2 will outlast several 700r4's, an NV4500 if you have the time and money will outlast many 700r4s so its cost of ownership ends up even lower.

So labor, maybe more, but we're talking a motor swap so the xmsn is usually just icing in a rwd.

Cost probably not NV3500's which are a drop in replacement for a 700r4 are a dime a dozen.

But if labor is no issue keep your 700r4 to get the motor working and the car straight, when it burns up in 50000 miles get an NV3500 and do the swap later.

Cheers
Ryan
