Not that I advocate burning vegetable oil at all in modern diesels (I don't), but it's not the DPF that is the problem, it's the wasteful way in which they burn out the DPF to keep it clear. There would be no issue with biofuels at all if the diesel manufacturer installed a low pressure fuel injector into the DPF itself to burn it off instead of injecting fuel into the cylinders, post ignition, allowing liquid fuel into the engine oil.
