Aluminum trim coil is pretty sturdy, but it will ding up really easily. I was in residential construction for 7 years, and it tends to get lots of dings unless there is something solid behind it. We used it to wrap wood trim, since it ages slower and is more waterproof. might be good with something to reinforce it, maybe a single layer of fiberglass?
