So... too bad about the old Saturn.

Too bad about the automatic in the new Saturn! But yay for not burning out clutches and keeping your gf happy. (Probably a safer option too, if she's the type to burn out clutches.)

As for suggestions, have you gone through the 65+ modifications list? 65+ Vehicle modifications for better fuel economy - EcoModder.com

Also: highly recommend getting a fuel economy computer (ScanGauge or equivalent) to help you with the driving side of things. Even if you're decently dialed in on your technique now, it will still help. (And it makes it more of a game!)
