I'm basically only using DWL to get 50 mpg. In order to get the 76 mpg I got in both fuel economy run competitions, I have to use EOC.

Don't forget this thing's a '91 with 250-k on it. It's a two liter performance engine that doesn't have the low drag single compression ring pistons, micro polished crankshaft journals, and the other modern fuel efficient design elements of today's engines. Also, I left the alternator charging during the mileage contests. I should have used a deep cycle maringe battery and disconnected the charging system for a [reported] 9% further gain.
