Yes, it did help some. I can say this because at first one was too wide and misaligned, and FE and coasting got better when I fixed it.
Mine are probably not as long as they should be, but I think that filling in part of the "void" is better than none. Also, they form part of the Kamm back.
If I ever get around to remaking the rear belly pan I had earlier, I'll have it stick out a little beyond the rear bumper to form more of the Kamm back.
You are already doing very well -- our chassis and drivetrain are virtually the same. What are your RPM's at say 65MPH?
