I think the point was that propane is a gas, so its a good comparison to gasoline thats been completely vaporized. If the claims of increased milage were true, you should see the same increase using propane. You have to correct for the btu/lb content, but thats simple. Since I haven't heard great claims of better milage with LP, I don't think just completely vaporizing the gasoline is going to get you much improvement.
