As long as you don't do anything dumb a TH700R4 or L460E will do fine.
You want the big transmission cooler. You can buy them off the shelf from Uhaul and advanced auto.

I think keeping the 4L60E would be a little more expensive than going TH700R4, but it will be easier to do. The TH700R4 will need shifting linkages and stuff.
