Oh, some healthy skepticism arises! It does seem incredible, doesn't it?

I wish my mom still had her similar Corolla - I would definitely have an MPGuino in it to do a speed vs. fuel consumption chart. (Of course, those stats don't apply if you're doing pulse & glide / burn & coast type driving.)

I certainly think it's within the realm of possibility to get this mileage from this car, but I'd think it requires you to throw lots of driving technique at it.

Let's not forget PaleMelanesian regularly gets 65+ MPG (US) from his Civic sedan - a roughly similar vehicle & vintage to this Corolla - by throwing every technique in the book at it, plus some mods.

The most obvious question a skeptic might ask: have you calibrated your odometer?
