There is buying fuel economy and there is working for it. EM.com is definitely about working for it. I have limited experience with cleanmpg.com, but it seems they are about buying it. I want to bash them, but we need them to buy cost-inefficient ecocars new so we can buy cost-efficient used ecomobiles. Sure, the Volt is shaky now, but if/when they are available used at less than half the price, we will be big fans. With that said, overall I like the Volt, but GM took a moonshot when a Cruze plug in hybrid would have gotten close enough to the same results at a better price point. But of course, THEN it wouldn't have qualified for a $7500 gov't stimulus.
