Well to be honest miller it would be stupid easy to do and would ensure you have filtered clean water.
If you disapprove of quality control of the water then so be it. I still will suggest you should filter it before you put the water in your on-board tank.
Why you ask? to remove the minerals and prevent the accumulation of salts.
